The newly announced MZ-Series of amplifiers from Soundavo employ Class D amplification technologies to drive as many as eight zones of audio.
Soundavo says the line consists of three models: A four-zone/eight-channel amplifier, a six-zone/12-channel amplifier, and an eight-zone/16-channel amplifier.
The company explains the MZ-Series of amplifiers are rated to produce 50- watts into an 8-ohm load and 80-watts a 4-ohm load. Each model also offers stereo/bridge operation options, and when operating in the bridge mode the respective amp’s channels are combined to produce a mono output of 160 watts into an 8-ohm load.
Aesthetically, the amps features interlocking blocks of acrylic, along with brushed and anodized black aluminum exterior design elements.
Externally, the amps also feature blue LED power switches and zone indicators that communicate zone status.
Other features the amps offer include global bus inputs, RCA line-level inputs, independent volume controls for left and right channels, S/PDIF inputs, multiple BUS inputs and outputs, auto sensing, and global trigger input/output.
