Not too long ago Western Digital announced its new SanDisk Professional brand of products.
Designed for applications that includes content creation the new SanDisk products are engineered to provide users with a choice of scalable, high-performance reliable storage solutions.
The origins of the new SanDisk Professional Brand of Hard Drives goes back to the G-Technology products that were popularized by Hollywood movie professionals. Western Digital states the new SanDisk Professional brand offers users a choice of the SanDisk Extreme PRO Portable SSD V2 products and the SanDisk Professional (formerly G-Technology) products.

Western Digital points out the SanDisk Extreme PRO Portable SSDV2 offers users solid-state hard drive performance in a durable and dependable chassis. The company says the products provides almost twice the speed as its previous generation of portable storage solutions with 2000MB/s of read/write speed. The products also feature 256-bit AES encryption to protect users’ content. The drives are available in a choice of 1TB, 2TB and 4TB versions.
The SanDisk Professional series are scalable to allow for their use in a number of professional applications. Western Digital offers G-DRIVE ArmorLock SSD products line in a choice of 1TB, 2TB and 4TB. The G-DRIVE ArmorATD offers users a choice of 1TB, 2TB, 4TB and 5TB models, and the G-RAID 2 series within the line is available in a choice of 8TB, 12TB, 24TB and 36TB versions.
