Monitor Audio is a company known for its value-minded in-room speakers and array of architectural speakers. The company’s latest product is the IMS-4 Music Streamer.
Monitor Audio designed the 1U-high, IMS-4 to deliver high-resolution audio music up to 24-bit/192kHz to as many as four zones through the implementation of the BluOS whole-house audio platform.
Supporting the Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) high-resolution audio protocol, the multizone streamer can access and playback millions of high-resolution audio files from streaming services such as TIDAL.
The U.K.-based audio company points out the IMS-4 can be paired with its IA150-8C amplifier, and the system can be integrated into third-party control systems from companies that includes Control4, Crestron and RTI.
Additionally, the unit provides Apple AirPlay 2 options, and users can also use iOS, Android, MacOS and Windows devices to control the streamer.
