Unfortunately, cyber security has to be a priority to anyone with an Internet connection, and to help homeowners and small businesses effectively manage their security needs, the company Firewalla has introduced its Purple SE Firewall and Router.
The San Jose, Calif.-based company states that its new product doesn’t require integrators to perform high levels of configurations to provide their clients’ with a secure means to protect their networks. According to Firewalla, its new Purple SE Firewall and Router brings high levels of protection to small business and home networks to protect networked devices from cyberattacks and the Firewall and Router also safeguards users’ data, while providing network administrators network insights.
Firewalla points out that 84% of those recently polled by IPSOS, were concerned about their online safety, but only 63% check the settings of their online accounts. The company also notes that seven-out-of-10 parents who have children under the age of 16-years-old are concerned about the content their kids see online.
Addressing these concerns, Firewalla emphasizes that its Purple SE Firewall and Router provides integrators tools to enable parents to automatically block access to malicious and adult content.
The newly announced Firewall and Router also provides users features such as 24/7 network monitoring, automatic alerts for malicious activities and network vulnerabilities, and its built-in virtual private network (VPN) server offers an additional layer of protection. The unit offers a pair of connection ports; the Purple SE Firewall and Router operates at 500 megabits per second (Mbps), and it runs on the Firewalla Security Stack.
