Environmental Lights Dual-Mode Universal Dimming Drivers

The commercial and residential lighting manufacturer, Environmental Lights, has announced its new Dual-Mode Universal Dimming Drivers.

The San Diego-based company says its latest product solution are designed to serve as versatile power supplies. The Dual-Mode Universal Dimming Drivers (DMU) accept universal input dimming signals that are compatible with all major control systems. Environmental Lights points out that its new dimming solution includes a toggle that allows lighting systems to switch between constant voltage reduction (CVR) and pulse width modulation (PWM) output modes.

According to Environmental Lights, the new Universal Dimming Drivers enables for the seamless integration and control of LED lighting regardless of the size of the lighting system installation. The company states that when operating in PWM mode, the output can be used for loads within 25 feet of the power supply. For longer load runs, the CVR mode option can be used by integrators for runs longer than 25 feet notes Environmental Lights.

The West Coast manufacturer emphasizes the use of CVR technologies is the key to running longer loads in order to protect and extend the life of LEDs. Environmental Lights adds that CVR technologies ensure there are no voltage spikes to keep the LEDs running at cool temperatures, and CVR technologies also allows LEDs to dim down to .1%.
