SoundSend Audio Transmitter

The Wireless Speaker and Audio Association (WiSA), which is an industry trade group founded by Summit Wireless Technologies, has introduced its SoundSend Audio Transmitter.

WiSA says the SoundSend is its first branded product, and it is a device that incorporates optical and HDMI inputs to facilitate multichannel sound in a matter of minutes.

The industry trade group suggests that integrators can use its new device in situations such as the setup of systems that include smart televisions that incorporate ARC/eARC.

According to WiSA, the SoundSend easily connects to WiSA-certified speaker systems, which include products from Klipsch, Savant, Dynaudio and Enclave Audio.

WiSA emphasizes the setup of the system does not require Internet. All integrators need to do is to connect the WiSA-certified speakers to power, and its new device will automatically find the speaker system.

The trade group explains once the system is powered up and the SoundSend discovers the speakers, homeowners can use their TV remotes for daily operation. Integrators can also use the SoundSend app to personalize the systems for their clients.

WiSA adds that once the installation is complete, the system is capable of producing sound quality levels up to 24-bit/96kHz with eight channels of audio, and it decodes Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital+ and Dolby Atmos.
