Screen Innovations C4 Zigbee Interface, Suite XVI 16-Port Hub

Expanding its product line through the introduction of a pair of new control accessories, Screen Innovations (SI) has announced its new C4 Zigbee Interface and Suite XVI 16-port hub.

SI emphasizes that its latest products can be used for the control of its projection screens and shades, and both products incorporate a host of state-of-the-art technologies. The company also says the new C4 Zigbee Interface and Suite XVI 16-port hub allow integrators to expand and enhance their installation through the devices’ easy-to-implement feature sets.

The C4 Zigbee Interface enables direct, native control and feedback of the Texas-based company’s 485-powered shades and screens via a Zigbee-enabled Control4 automation system. SI states that any Zigbee 3.0-enabled or non-Zigbee SI shade or screen connected to the small, dongle-style interface instantly joins a Control4 Zigbee mesh network without any programming or additional hardware.

SI’s Suite XVI 16-port hub is designed for applications in which integrators encounter jobs with more than six keypads. In the event this happens the company says that traditionally it’s difficult to find single 485 data hub with enough ports, but its Suite XVI solves this problem.

Through the product’s 16 ports integrators have the ability to easily incorporate devices such as keypads, wireless receivers, and additional data hubs into an installation. SI adds the Suite XVI is made from heavy-duty, plenum-rated sheet metal, and the hub can be mounted anywhere, including racks, panels or above the ceiling.
