The newly announced Rotel DX-5 Stereo Integrated Amplifier, is the latest component from the decades-old home audio company.
Rotel says that its latest amplifier utilizes a Class A/B design that produces 33 watts into 4 ohms and 25 watts into ohms. The new Rotel DX-5 incorporates one of the company’s proprietary, built in-house toroidal transformers, and high-current transistors. Further augmenting the performance of the new integrated amplifier is the use of a 768kHz ES9039Q2M Sabre DAC (digital-to-analog converter) the company says helps provide users with low noise digital audio capabilities.
Supporting the Rotel DX-5 Stereo Integrated Amplifier’s use in smart home environments, the company points out the amp offers a choice of connections that include an HDMI with ARC input, as well as a subwoofer output to support 2.1 AV speaker system configurations, and a headphone input for private listening sessions. The compact integrated amplifier also provides a choice of connections for audiophile-related listening opportunities with PC-USB that supports PCM signals up to 32-bit/384kHz and DSD 4x, along with traditional digital options such as coaxial/optical with 24-bit/192kHz support, and analog RCA inputs.
The room-friendly, Roon Tested certified Rotel DX-5 Stereo Integrated Amplifier weighs just over 9 pounds and it measures 8.5 inches x 3 inches x 9.75 inches.
