Cleerline Technology Group has just introduced its new SSF-2x8POE-RUGGED, 2×8 POE+ switch.
The connectivity equipment manufacturer says that it developed its latest product for extreme environments in residential and commercial settings. The SSF-2x8POE-RUGGED incorporates a pair of SFP Gigabit ports with eight ports of Gigabit Ethernet, and Cleerline Technology Group emphasizes the product can deliver eight ports of PoE+ power at 30-watts per port.
Cleerline Technology Group points out the product is an 8-port Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000Base-TX to 2 port 1000Base-X non-managed industrial Ethernet PoE+ PSE Switch. Elaborating on the extreme capabilities of the SSF-2x8POE-RUGGED, 2×8 POE+ switch utilizes an enclosure rated for use in temperatures rated from -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 167-degrees Fahrenheit. The PoE+ switch’s metal housing is IP40 rated, which Cleerline says allows the product to operate in mechanical and electrical extreme environments.
In addition, Cleerline Technology Group stresses, the new SSF-2x8POE-RUGGED, 2×8 POE+ switch employs 6kV of surge protection per port, and the product is compliant with IEC and EN standards for use with industrial-grade equipment.
