Over the years the Wash.-based audio manufacturer AudioControl has developed some of the most robust whole-house audio amplification products ever produced for residential applications. Adding to its legacy of whole-house audio products the company is now shipping its new Architect Performance P series of products.
AudioControl says the P series amplifiers provide dealers with a choice of 2U multichannel amplifiers that deliver 100 watts of power per channel.
“Our dealers love the power, features and the flexibility of AudioControl amplifiers, including a focus on installer-friendly features, including equalization, bussable inputs and ground isolation jumpers,” explains Chris Kane, vice president of sales, AudioControl. “The new Architect P series offers even higher power levels, plus digital audio inputs all designed into a compact 2U chassis. This will allow dealers to sell even better speaker systems, while taking up less rack space. We even include a new security cover that attaches to the chassis magnetically. When our dealers speak, we listen.”
The P Series includes a choice of 12-channels and 16-channel models and the company says the amps are rated to produce 100-watts-per-channel into 8 ohms, 200-watts-per-channel into 4 ohms, and AudioControl points out that channels can be bridged to produce 400 watts.
The cool-running amps utilize proprietary amplification circuits and other technologies, including its LightDrive anti-clipping protection, and they offer other features such as input bussing capabilities, output pass-thru, master 12-volt trigger in/out, 12-volt triggers on all zones, signal sensing, and digital SPDIF inputs for digital sources.
With a black anodized finish, the P series amps provide dealers a choice of four models:
- The 16-channel Architect Model P2680
- The 16-channel Architect Model P2660
- The 12-channel Architect Model P2280
- The 16-channel Architect Model P2260
