Simaudio’s MOON’s new 861 power amplifier and 891 network player/preamplifier will make their show debut at the 2024 Montreal Audiofest home audio show.
The Canadian luxury audio manufacturer states the two units will combine to create an extraordinary system that represents the pinnacle of its MOON’s North Collection.

The MOON 861 features technologies such as the MOON Distortion-Cancelling Amplifier (MDCA) circuit that helps the product to deliver control, transparency, and tonal richness. Simaudio boasts that every detail, from its iconic front panel to its sophisticated construction, reflects MOON’s four decades of engineering excellence.
The MOON 891 network player/preamplifier comprises a streaming DAC, phono stage, and graphic interface. The 5-inch color screen on the front of the 891 displays volume and input selection; it enables the extensive setup menu, and showcases cover art and meta data.
At the Audiofest, the MOON 861 and 891 will be complemented by a pair of Estelon XB Mk II loudspeakers. Simaudio asserts the speakers are a perfect match for MOON as they deliver a high level of musical reproduction, an expansive soundscape and fun performances. The system will be linked by Cardas’ Clear Reflection cables and displayed in an audio cabinet from HRS furniture.
In addition, MOON products will also be playing in Filtronique’s room. The Montreal retailer will feature a system comprised of a MOON 761 power amplifier and 791 network player/preamplifier, and Audiovector’s beautiful R 8 Arreté speakers. Audioquest cables will be used throughout.
