Providing integrators with additional user interface choices, the RTI KA8 and KA11 tabletop/wall-mount touchpanels are now shipping.
RTI says that integrators can use the KA8 and KA11 touchpanels as an easy-to-use interface product for residential and commercial control and automation system installations.
“RTI offers a wide range of touchpanel controllers to give our dealers the flexibility to meet the budget and installation requirements in their projects,” notes Ed McCnaghay, CEO, RTI.
“Our new KA touchpanels offer the customization, sleek design and innovative installation options that will make them a great addition to any project.”
The new RTI touchpanels incorporate widescreen LCD displays with integrated capacitive touch capabilities including a fast touch response and gesture control. The KA11 features an 11.6-inch display that delivers a 1920x1080p HD resolution.
For smaller installation spaces, the KA8 is the company's 8-inch touchscreen model and delivers a WXGA 1280×800 resolution.

Both touchpanels are available in a choice of white or black frames.
Supporting the touchpanels wide-ranging usage scenarios, RTI explains that integrators can use standard double-gang electrical boxes to wall mount the KA8 and KA11 touchpanels, and integrators can also locate the touchpanels on tabletops and other similar surfaces.
Some of the other features built into the touchpanels include built-in Ethernet with PoE (power over Ethernet), dual-band Wi-Fi to enable video from IP security cameras, two-way communications and remote programming updates.

With the KA8 and KA11 joining the company's selection of touchpanel interface products, RTI now offers a range of interface solutions that can be implemented in a variety of ways.
A quick look at some of the existing touchpanel products finds RTI offers its KX3 3.5-inch In-Wall Touchpanel Keypad, as well as its WK2 Water Resistant In-Wall Keypad, and CX7 Countertop/Under Cabinet Touchpanel.
In addition, RTI supports its products and systems with its RTIPanel App that enables users to remotely control and monitor their systems from just about anywhere.
