Neptune is gearing up for the summer with the launch of two new outdoor smart TVs in its Shade series, as well as an accompanying outdoor soundbar. As the name implies, the two new TVs (available in sizes of 55- and 65-inches) are designed for use in full shade environments, though Neptune’s broader portfolio does include partial and full sun outdoor TV options as well.
Neptune Shade Outdoor Smart TVs Offer 4K UHD Video Standard
For the latest shade solutions, Neptune lists the TVs as being IP54-rated with a temperature range of of -22°F to 122°F (-30°C to 50°C), making them suitable for use on a shaded patio, gazebo or screened in porch. They also come with a weather-resistant remote control that can be left out with the TVs as well.
On the video fidelity side, both Neptune Shade TVs offer 4K UHD resolution alongside HDR support and a mini LED backlight with Full Array Local Dimming (FALD), which allows the TVs to deliver vivid color accuracy and enhanced contrast when appropriately placed in a shaded environment.
The new outdoor models also come equipped with smart apps via the Google Play Store so users can easily stream content to their Neptune Shade TVs as well.
IP55 Outdoor Soundbar Adds Flex Sound Option to AV Installs
In addition to the new full-shade outdoor TVs, Neptune has also announced an outdoor soundbar with an IP55 rating to accent its new entertainment systems. According to Neptune, the soundbar is built to endure rain, snow, heat, and ice, ensuring consistent, high-quality sound no matter the weather conditions.
Additionally, the soundbar comes equipped with a built-in Class D amplifier that delivers 150W of peak power. The soundbar itself provides 70Hz – 20kHz of dynamic, full-range audio for anything from movie nights to backyard parties.
Bluetooth v5.3 connectivity and universal mounting options also make it easy to connect the soundbar with any outdoor TV (not just Neptune’s), and with HDMI ARC support, users can control audio settings directly from the TV. This new audio product is complete with easy control via the IR remote or through the HDMI ARC connection.
Availability and Pricing
The Neptune Shade Outdoor Smart TVs will cost $1,799 USD (55-inch) and $2,299 USD (65-inch) each while the Neptune Outdoor Soundbar will run $899 USD. All products announced are now available to ship within the continental U.S.
