Helping integrators to address immersive audio and stereo system installations, the new Klipsch Reference Premiere and Reference loudspeakers expand the selection of products available from the global audio company.
Klipsch‘s latest products incorporate the company’s tried-and-true engineering concepts, including horn tweeters, and the company’s latest performance technologies such as its Cerametallic woofers.
Klipsch Reference Premiere Speakers Feature Furniture-Grade Cabinets
The third-generation Reference Premiere line of products employs new Klipsch technologies, as well as new materials and new Klipsch industrial designs. Klipsch emphasizes the new Reference Premiere product line utilizes new, larger Tractrix horn technologies that are said to improve the products’ frequency response, and ability to increase imaging and dynamics.
Internally, the speakers also incorporate the company’s Cerametallic woofers with aluminum Friday rings and Tractrix ports to help the speakers produce clean and powerful low frequencies with low levels of distortion. Handling the high frequencies, the speakers’ use the Klipsch Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) titanium tweeter that is said to maximize dynamics.
The Klipsch Reference Premiere speakers externally feature “premium” materials and new industrial designs that are highlighted by a choice of two furniture-grade ebony or walnut wood finishes. The line includes a choice of 11 models.
In addition, the new models incorporate Dolby Atmos connections that facilitate easy connections when using the company’s in-room Dolby Atmos height speakers, which are placed on top of floorstanding or bookshelf speakers.
Reference Line Includes 10 Products
The Indianapolis-based company’s other new product line—the Reference series—offers a total of 10 models that includes Dolby Atmos, object-based surround sound options.
Klipsch says this product line is in its 7th generation, and the newest generation of products utilizes the Tractrix horn technologies and woofers made from spun-copper thermoformed crystal polymer (TCP) materials. According to Klipsch, the TCP woofers incorporate cones with steep angles to deliver a smooth response and improved crossover integration.

The Klipsch Reference series’ cabinets feature sleek industrial designs, along with enhanced cabinet bracing, and black, scratch-resistant, wood-grain vinyl finishes. Additionally, the speakers include metallic-coated binding posts, and like the Reference Premiere series, the Reference line also incorporates the Dolby Atmos height speaker connections.
