Key Digital has built a reputation for designing and building bulletproof signal management products for the video market. The latest signal management solution from the N.Y.-based manufacturer is its new KD-HD1x4ProK HDMI Distribution Amplifier

The amp takes a single HDMI source and transmits this signal to its four HDMI outputs. An increasingly valuable feature built into the KD-HD1x4ProK is its audio de-embedder function that removes the audio from HDMI and sends it to external digital or analog outputs.

Other features built into the product include 4K support, hot-plug detection control that allows installers to choose whether active signal voltage is forced to connected input devices, and a full buffer system that manages TMDS re-clocking/signal regeneration, and HDCP authentication to source and display and EDID control handshakes.

In addition, the KD-HD1x4ProK also offers dealers the ability to cascade units to configure as many as 64 outputs/displays, and an internal EDID library with 16 default EDID configurations for input, as well as native EDID data for output displays.
