Lew Brown has officially assumed the role of President of DEN Smart Home Inc., North America. Having previously served as CEO, COO, President, VP of Business Development and VP of Sales & Marketing throughout multiple companies in the consumer technology sectors, Brown will now help lead and develop the strategic plan for DEN including business and product development initiatives.
Brown is joined by Dennis Nijmeijer, who will be filling the role of Chief Financial Officer in the newly created Ankerslot Group. Nijmeijer has over two decades of finance experience most recently as a Finance Director at HSF Logistics.
DEN itself was founded by Ankerslot, a seventy-five-year-old manufacturer of European access control products.
Robert Boensma, CTO and one of DEN’s first hires has also been named as a minority owner in DEN Smart Home.

Den’s most well-known product, the DEN SmartStrike, is an access control solution and wireless smart door strike that installs into the door frame without the removal of existing hardware. Users are also able to still use their traditional key to unlock the door while also gaining access to a companion app to create digital keys for family members, friends, and temporary guests.
