Access Networks has introduced a new complete network package for the custom installation channel dubbed the Unity 8G+, which features performance and security enhancements such as an ASA firewall, a 12-port core switch, a 48-port layer 2 switch and upgraded 802.11ac access points.
The Unity 8G+ is available now with an MSRP of $23,335.
According to the company, the Access Networks Unity 8G+ is a highly sophisticated, fast and secure home networking solution featuring the latest in enterprise-grade networking hardware, custom-designed and programmed to meet the individual needs of each project. The network has been engineered for medium to large scale projects, anticipating heavy video streaming activity and other latency-sensitive applications. It has pre-configured VLANs, Gigabit routing, and QoS traffic prioritization for complex residences.
The system has an ASA firewall and ISP throughput (multi-protocol testing of 300Mbps and Speedtest.net testing of over 500 Mbps) based on a 12-port layer 3 core that provides more available PoE ports. The scalable Unity 8G+ uses Ruckus 3×3:3 802.11ac access points and has a single touch-point wireless controller.
Triple-stream 802.11ac access points offer 1000+ dynamic beam patterns for instant bandwidth delivery and premium wireless coverage, according to the company. Patented antenna technology steers the wireless signals to high-quality paths maximizing wireless throughput.
