Savant has been one of the busiest companies in the custom integration channel in the past couple of years.
The Massachusetts-based automation brand has put its focus on several key targeted areas that expand its reach, both in technology and greater awareness.
At the upcoming CEDIA Expo Virtual Experience, being staged online September 15-17, Savant will provide attendees with insights, support, education and interactive opportunities geared around its rapidly increasing lighting business, its enhanced music interface and some featured partnerships.
Savant has grown from lighting controls to more human-centric capabilities thanks to its collaboration with USAI Lighting and recently bolstered the portfolio by acquiring GE Lighting. That brings fixtures into the mix plus the brand-name recognition – and crossover opportunity for Savant to power smart lighting products for the mainstream market, president JC Murphy told CE Pro recently.
During the CEDIA Expo Virtual event (register at cediaexpovirtual.com), the Savant team is looking forward to enlightening attendees, so to speak, on the many opportunities presented by the various lighting solutions.

More Integrators Can Educate, Interact at Savant Booth
“We are very excited to be part of the CEDIA Expo Virtual Experience this year, and we think we have a lot to share,” Angie Larson, senior vice president of customer operations for Savant, tells CE Pro just ahead of September’s Expo.
“One of the things we think the virtual platform has to offer is the ability for integrators to send more of their staff to education sessions than every before, when you had to consider travel expenses and other things,” she enthuses.
Larson says the education offered in Savant’s virtual booth (savant.cediaexpovirtual.com) will include speakers and panelists from USAI Lighting and GE Lighting.
Integrators can visit Savant’s virtual booth any time during the event to access some content, while other aspects include live sessions, “where you’ll get to dive right into some specific products or even partner solutions.” Plus, Larson says, there will be some live product announcements unveiled during the Expo.
New Music Experience Software, Expanded Integrations
Speaking of new items, the company will also showcase its new Savant Music Experience navigation interface within the Savant Pro app.
“It’s got a whole new search experience, quick access for recently played, as well as a ton of new music service enhancements,” says Larson, noting that dealers can actually register and test the software now while it’s in beta.
Meanwhile, dealers can also expect to hear more about Savant’s integration with the Ring pro line that’s also in beta; forthcoming Dish integration set for early next year; and new illuminated vanity mirrors from Robern.
Larson adds Savant is also working on networking/hangout opportunities for dealers and prospects with the CEDIA Expo Virtual platform.
