Describe your product's design and/or technological innovation.

NetworkThermostat™ UP32xx smart thermostats integrate all web pages, 7-day and calendar scheduling, date/time settings, alerts, weather, network settings and notification destinations directly into the thermostat. Unlike any other connected thermostat, Net/X™ thermostats operate completely behind firewalls or over the Internet and include web apps, responsive design, and integration with any automation system using our API, BACnet or Modbus gateways. Powerful project management PC software and optional CloudConnect™ management portals are also available.  With the power of NetX, integrators can use EVERY connection simultaneously. UP32xx thermostats control conventional Gas/Electric (2H/2C) and heat pump (3H/2C) systems. Use the UP32Hx to manage humidifiers/dehumidifiers or fresh air dampers. Commercial lockouts include adjustable temperature setpoint overrides and override timer. NetworkThermostat’s Event Scheduling engine allows for forty (40) calendar-based events and forty (40) special events.   The UP32xx features automatic changeover with seven days per week and up to four events per day scheduling.  Each UP32xx supports Net/X occupancy sensors (up to 4), two (2) digital inputs and a remote sensor bus that supports eleven (11) sensors.  The thermostats can send up to nineteen (19) different alerts to multiple email and text message destinations. Critical alerts can be repeated until the alert condition is corrected and reset.

Describe the three most important functional features of this product. What sets it apart from other products in this category?

  1. NetworkThermostat’s 100% stand-alone Wi-Fi & Ethernet based smart thermostats do not require Cloud services and can operate behind any network firewall.  All programming is stored directly in the thermostat’s battery-free, non-volatile memory.
  2. Simultaneously connect and monitor locally and over the Internet using the Net/X™ PC Command Center software, DirectConnect™ to the thermostat embedded web browser pages, mobile web apps, CloudConnect™ Service and an existing BACnet/Modbus BAS system.
  3. The Net/X™ Remote Sensor Bus allows 11 remote sensors including remote indoor (up to 6) and outdoor, supply & return air, humidity, auxiliary, plus two digital equipment fault inputs.

How does your product stand out from others in this category?

  1. NetworkThermostat energy management solutions offer many features and benefits not commonly found in other systems.
  2. Since Cloud services are optional, Net/X solutions can meet the most stringent network security standards such as PCI compliance and corporate IT security restrictions.
  3. The Ethernet communications option allows for wired connectivity for the utmost in speed and security.
  4. Comprehensive HVAC and humidity/fresh air damper control maximizes energy savings while ensuring optimal occupant comfort.
  5. Integrated energy efficiency algorithms control random restart across thermostats, adaptive schedule recovery, and auto-adjusting equipment runtime control.
  6. Each UP32xx accommodates up to 11 remote sensors, occupancy sensors and 2 digital inputs per thermostat for flexible climate monitoring, HVAC control and transitional event reporting.
  7. The embedded comprehensive alerting schema helps maintain equipment and facilities in optimum working condition.
  8. PC app and CloudConnect™ project management software allows control of all thermostat locations from a single screen on a PC, Mac or tablet.
  9. Multiple connectivity options allow for LAN or remote thermostat monitoring and control.
  10. NetworkThermostat offers an open API for UI development or system integration.
  11. The NT-BAS integrates Net/X Wi-Fi and Ethernet solutions into existing BAS systems, including BACnet, Modbus and Echelon.

Describe your app/UI and what differentiates it from competitors'.

NetworkThermostat delivers a unified platform UI, including the thermostats' embedded pages, the Net/X-IP Command Center application, and the CloudConnect project management toolset.  The powerful hardware communications allows all UI environments to operate simultaneously, along with a BAS and a third party application.  The Command Center and CloudConnect platforms allow for batch copying of thermostat parameters, shows real time HVAC operation and usage, and provides data logging for thermostat and remote sensor data.  Keeping true to its “Command Center” pedigree, the Net/X-IP Command Center application can also monitor and control any third party application that utilizes a URL or IP address.
