Savant subsidiary GE Lighting and Samsung’s smart home control platform SmartThings are launching a new partnership in which the Cync reveal undercabinet fixtures work with SmartThings to allow users to create customizable lighting that integrates with their smart home control.
GE Lighting, owned by home automation company Savant, says its Cync reveal HD+ Full Color Undercabinet Fixtures are the first and only full-color, edge-lit smart undercabinet lights in North America.
The company says the fixtures differentiate themselves from competitors due to their versatility and slim profile design. The lights have “millions of color options” and can be hardwired or plugged directly into the wall. They come in a full range of whites and colors and connect up to 10 fixtures.
Cync reveal fixtures come in several shapes and sizes, including four size options: 12-inch, 18-inch, 24-inch and 3-inch puck.
The SmartThings integration adds the ability to set schedules, control lights remotely, and create lighting scenes for different events on the Cync reveal lights.

More SmartThings-compatible Cync products are on the horizon, including smart plugs, bulbs and light strips, the companies say.
GE Lighting announced earlier this year that Cync reveal fixtures are compatible with Matter.
“Cync reveal undercabinet fixtures combine bright, low-glare light with the convenience of smart home features,” says Kara Perdue, vice president of product management at GE Lighting. “The integration with SmartThings unlocks more capabilities that help make kitchens more productive and personalized.”
Mark Benson, head of SmartThings US, says this partnership allows Samsung to enhance the kitchen experience for its users.
“Creating the most user-friendly connected home experience is the goal behind each of our partnerships, and we look forward to the rollout of additional SmartThings-compatible products, offering consumers even more options to enhance their living spaces,” Benson says.
