This project from Elite AV and Lighting’s (Elite AVL) latest custom home project in Texas showcases the power of lighting to transform spaces, blending modern elegance with technical expertise. This residence is a testament to their craftsmanship, featuring advanced lighting solutions that enhance every room’s functionality and atmosphere, with the highlight of the project being a four-story illuminated staircase, which serves as a stunning focal point.

Spanning two years, this extensive project involved consistent communication with clients and trade partner and plenty of problem-solving to ensure alignment with the project’s vision. Adjustments to timelines and designs were managed with transparency, resulting in a finished project that met high standards despite its complexity. 

Illuminated Staircase Serves as Custom Home’s Focal Point

The custom illuminated staircase presented one of the project’s most significant challenges. Each step is custom-routed and recessed with LEDs, creating a seamless design that marries contemporary style with timeless appeal. Crafting this unique feature required precise planning and meticulous craftsmanship. Elite AV and Lighting collaborated closely with the stair manufacturer to ensure each step was perfectly routed for seamless LED integration, transforming a functional element into a work of art. 

Elite AVL Uses High CRI Lighting to Mimic Natural Light

Beyond the staircase, Elite AVL implemented creative lighting throughout the home, adapting to the homeowners’ needs and moods. In the music lounge, Crystallo lighting allows the room to glow in any color, offering a dynamic and customizable atmosphere perfect for gatherings or relaxation. 

In the entry and dining areas, high-CRI lighting from American Lighting Proluxe LED tapes and Color Beam aluminum profiles provides natural-looking light. The kitchen cabinets feature COB tape lighting, delivering even, dot-free illumination that enhances the space’s sleek design. These thoughtful choices highlight Elite AV and Lighting’s commitment to high-quality, beautiful solutions.

Elite AVL also installed a comprehensive keypad lighting system throughout the home, replacing conventional switches with sleek, modern controls that simplify lighting adjustments. 

Slat Walls Add Extra Room for LEDs and Ambiance

Other elegant details of the project include bar slat walls designed to integrate LEDs, creating a warm, inviting ambiance. In the great room, RGBW lighting behind the TV adds a sophisticated layer to the overall design, while advanced LED lighting in the master bedroom and bathroom adds a luxurious touch. The gym and balconies are equipped with energy-efficient lighting, making outdoor spaces as inviting as the indoors.
