Allterco Robotics US, makers of the Shelly smart home products, has unveiled the next generation Shelly Wall Dimmer, designed exclusively for the custom electronics industry. Featuring a sleek style and intuitive touch slider for dimming and brightening, the new Shelly Wall Dimmer is UL listed and functions as a standalone device, connected directly to in-home Wi-Fi. The first in a new line of products designed specifically for dealers, the Shelly Wall Dimmer will be available for ordering starting October 4.
Featuring a simple four-wire installation, the Shelly Wall Dimmer automatically calibrates itself based on the load or type of bulb already in place, saving installers valuable time and eliminating complexity in the smart home installation process. With out-of-the-box support for REST API, CoAP, MQTT, and Cloud API, the company says the Shelly Wall Dimmer works seamlessly with Elan and Control4, popular third-party home automation platforms including Home Assistant, Homey, and SmartThings, among others, as well as voice assistants Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple Siri.
With all of the convenient features of Shelly devices including locally stored schedules, timers, and power on defaults, Allterco Robotics says the product is a comprehensive and powerful device despite its small footprint, developed to ensure quick and efficient installation.
“Our new Shelly Wall Dimmer empowers installers to quickly provision and configure large quantities of devices prior to installation, enabling a faster and more efficient smart home automation process,” says Svetlin Todorov, CEO of Allterco Robotics US. “Our powerful, yet easy-to-use UL certified line of Shelly products make it simple for installers to seamlessly integrate into an existing home electrical infrastructure and deliver ready to go smart home solutions within hours.”
