McIntosh, a manufacturer home entertainment audio products for 70 years, has announced that its C53 Solid State Preamplifier and the C2700 Vacuum Tube Preamplifier have received Roon Tested designation from Roon Labs.
This brings the total number of McIntosh products that have received Roon Tested designation to 14, and the N.Y.-based company explains that Roon is an engaging way to browse, organize, and listen to music. Room offers users artist photos, credits, bios, reviews, lyrics, tour dates, and composer information. Roon also provides multiroom, multi-user networked audio platform capabilities.
According to McIntosh, Room also delivers features such as bit-perfect playback, DSD and PCM upsampling, multichannel support, and Signal Path display.
Other McIntosh products that have received Roon Tested designation include the C47, C49, C52, C53, C2600, C2700 and D1100 preamplifiers; the MA5300, MA7200, MA8900 and MA9000 integrated amplifiers; the MAC7200 receiver; the MHA150 headphone Amplifier; and the MXA80 integrated audio system.
