Recognizing the confluence of market trends, the popular electronics manufacturer Marantz has incorporated its parent company's surging HEOS wireless whole-house audio platform into its latest home theater products.
The newly announced SR7011 A/V receiver and AV7703 preamplifier/processor are available now. Both products offer homeowners the ability to handle the latest video formats, including 4K with HDR and wide color gamuts, along with Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Auro 3D object-based surround sound decoding.
SR7011 A/V Receiver
Marantz says the receiver is rated to deliver 125 watts to each of its nine channels, and it provides 11.2 channels of preamp outputs. Through its amplification, which features the company's Hyper-Dynamic Amplifier Module (HDAM) and its Current Feedback topology dealers can configure object-based surround systems that include 5.1.4 layouts without questioning the receiver's power.
Some of the features built into the receiver to augment its analog audio and digital audio performance include Audyssey MultEQ XT32 room calibration, and other Audyssey technologies such as LFC, Sub EQ HT, Dynamic Volume and Dynamic EQ.

The receiver's eight HDMI inputs support Ultra HD 4K at 60Hz, 4:4:4 Pure Color Sub-sampling, HDR, HDCP 2.2, and it provides BT.2020 pass-through.
Other features include zone two options, dual-band Wi-Fi and Ethernet, along with support for 24-bit/192kHz and DSD 5.6MHz (SACD) high-resolution streaming audio.
The receiver also incorporates Pandora, SiriusXM, Deezer, Amazon Music, TIDAL and Spotify Connect streaming audio, as well as Apple's AirPlay wireless audio format and Bluetooth.
AV7703 Preamplifier/Processor
Delivering those features in the form factor of a preamplifier/processor, Marantz points out that dealer can pair the AV7703 with Marantz amplifiers like its MM8077, MM7055 and MM7205 products, as well as other manufacturers' amps.
The AV7703 employs 11.2 preouts in a choice of unbalanced (RCA) and balanced (XLR).
The unit is engineered to perform as a high-performance analog preamplfier through its analog circuitry, which utilizes its HDAM technology.
Marantz says the SR7011 A/V receiver and AV7703 preamplifier/processor carry an MSRP of $2,199.
