While at the show, HP highlighted several new pieces of gaming hardware, including the OMEN MAX 16 laptop gaming PC, as well as the OMEN 16 and Victus 15 laptop gaming PCs, and its OMEN 16L desktop gaming PC.

HP has also announced several new gaming monitors, headlined by the OMEN 32x Smart Gaming Monitor. The monitor stands as OMEN’s first Google TV 10,11, smart gaming monitor, and features a 4K UHD 144Hz display. HP also states the monitor brings together streaming, cloud gaming, and smart home apps, solving the hassle of managing multiple devices and platforms.

The OMEN 32x supports consoles, laptops, desktops, peripherals, and even Android phones, and it allows users to switch between devices and peripherals. The OMEN 32x is also enables streaming for up to four platforms without the need for external hardware or software, by streaming directly from the display.

HP Launches Beta for OMEN AI at CES 2025

Beyond the hardware, HP also introduced OMEN AI Beta, which is a part of the Omen Gaming Hub control center. According to HP, Omen AI is the first AI-powered game learning application that continually adjusts for optimized performance. According to HP OMEN AI offers a personalized, one-click solution tailored to each game, recommending OS, hardware, and game settings based on each unique rig and game to eliminate time-consuming troubleshooting that gamers used to engage.

As the company describes it, OMEN AI adapts and improves settings over time, automatically dialing the best settings in order to maximize performance. The AI monitors vitals like the monitor, CPU, GPU and Ram activity and can reportedly optimize settings to boost FPS during gameplay.

How the AI will function within specific games is unknown, however, as currently, HP has stated OMEN AI will be launching with support for only Counter-Strike 2. However, HP has noted the application will expand to more popular titles as time goes on.

AI is already being used extensively to improve picture quality in many modern day TVs, with both LG and Samsung using AI image correction to intelligently adjust TV settings under changing environmental conditions. While PC gaming prioritizes different features over traditional TVs, HP sees the lack of AI optimization in the gaming market as a missed opportunity.

Citing market research, HP points out that PC gamers demand the best when it comes to powerful and personalized gaming technology. Three-quarters of gamers are purchasing new devices for better performance and features, while more than half want customization options to represent their individuality.

According to HP, gamers often spend countless hours searching forums and using trial-and-error to achieve optimal frames per second (FPS). Referencing more gaming market research, the company says that 85% of gamers prioritize high FPS so offering a simpler solution is essential.

For example, HP asserts that with the newest OMEN Max 16 Laptop paired with OMEN AI technology, the device can automatically and continually adjust performance and thermals for the best in uninterrupted gameplay.
