Hisense has unveiled its 2025 ULED–or Ultra LED–TV lineup, introducing three new product lines with screen sizes reaching up to 100 inches, furthering the company’s growth in the ultra-large TV category. The company is also adding another size to its existing U9 lineup.
Like most TV manufacturers these days, Hisense heavily markets the AI processing power of its TVs, which include technologies like the company’s Hi-View AI Engine technology designed to enhance contrast, color accuracy and motion clarity in real time.
Hisense’s 2025 ULED TVs, which will be released later this year, also feature the company’s QLED display technology, local dimming, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision support, and refresh rates up to 165Hz. Like many other TVs, coming standard on the 2025 lineup is HDMI eARC, Wi-Fi 6E, and compatibility with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit.
2025 Flagship U9 Series
According to Hisense, the 2025 lineup also includes a new 65-inch model to the U9 lineup, complementing the existing 75- and 85-inch options. The company markets the TV’s advanced AI 4K upscaling and other AI-powered features designed to keep resolution near 4K for all content.
The series also features Dolby Vision IQ, IMAX Enhanced certification, and Filmmaker Mode to preserve cinematic authenticity. The U9 also features an upgraded 165Hz refresh rate, FreeSync Premium Pro, and ALLM, the company says.
2025 ‘Best-in-Class’ U8 Series
Hisense positions the new U8 series of mini-LED TVs as its “best-in-class” offering, with sizes up to 100 inches, brightness up to 5,000 nits, expanded local dimming, enhanced HDR performance, a 165Hz refresh rate, and other low-latency gaming features. For audio, the TV also features an 82W Dolby Atmos 4.1.2 multi-channel sound system.
Hisense says the U8 features the company’s Hi-View AI Engine Pro, which automatically adjusts brightness, contrast, and color so users don’t have to manually adjust settings.
2025 Mid-Premium U7 Series
The U7 series is marketed as the mid-premium TV starting at under $1,000, although the company has not yet released full pricing details. Hisense bills the U7 as ideal for gamers and sports fans as it combines mini-LED technology with a 165Hz native refresh rate for fluid motion and clear visuals. For gamers, the TV features 165Hz Game Mode Ultra, Game Booster 288Hz, VRR, ALLM, Dolby Vision Gaming, FreeSync Premium Pro, and an anti-glare panel that eliminates glare in brightly lit rooms.
Hisense is packing some decent audio features into these TVs, with the U7 featuring a 60W 2.1.2 multi-channel audio system.
2025 Entry-Level U6 Series
Hisense positions the U6 as its entry to the premium TV category, bringing mini-LED technology and screens up to 100 inches to a broader audience without a premium price tag. Again, Hisense has yet to reveal pricing information for these new TVs.
Hisense says the 2025 ULED lineup runs on Google TV, but also says the U6 runs on Amazon’s Fire TV and features the Alexa Voice Remote for navigation and content discovery. It’s unclear if the U6 also has Google TV functionality. Like the other TVs, the U6 also features Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos as well as a 2.1 built-in subwoofer, HDR10+ Adaptive, and gaming features like ALLM and VRR.
The TV, another with sizes up to 100 inches, also has a 144Hz native refresh rate, Game Mode Pro and FreeSync Premium.
Hisense’s 2025 premium TV announcement comes just a day after Samsung announced its Neo QLED lineup, which includes resolutions up to 8K and sizes up to 115 inches, as well as Hisense’s own announcement that it will be offering larger-sized models of its CanvasTV.
The news also comes as Hisense and fellow Chinese TV maker TCL begin to challenge longtime market leaders Samsung and LG in higher-end TV categories such as ultra-large TVs and advanced display technologies like OLED and mini-LED.
